I first met Felicity McVay when she was working at TikTok in Sydney. I’d been booked to run a Creative thinking workshop for the partnerships and content teams.

Then, Felicity was the Australian-based Global Head of Entertainment.

Last week she joined a media conference at Parliament House with an organisation called 36 months, who have successfully petitioned the Albanese Government to introduce legislation raising the minimum age of social media platforms to 16.

As the father of two teenagers aged between 13 & 15 - I fully support this ban. From time to time we’ve experimented with restricted screen time with our kids and have noticed the improvement in mood and behaviour.

So what changed Felicity’s mind?

Why is she an advocate for this legislation?
