For many years this was my attitude…
“I can’t possibly tell people what I’m working on - they will STEAL my ideas!!”
But guess what happened. Nothing. Those ideas never happened. Had nothing to do with telling anyone. Had everything to do with me.
I’ve since dropped that philosophy. I’m more than happy to tell people what I’m creating because it does two things.
Builds Support: sharing your thinking often gives you early affirmation and contributes to the desire to keep pushing ahead.
Builds accountability: once people know what you’re doing, they will ask you for updates. Plus, if you’re lucky, you’ll get feedback on those ideas earlier than you would have if you were working in private.
So in that spirit, I’m going to share with you the ideas that I’m working on this year.
I won’t bore you if you’re not interested. But if you are, email me wade@morningmusely.com and I’ll be happy to share.
But be prepared: I’m also going to ask you what you’re working on this year too. 😊
